Finally got around to watching "We Jam Econo: the
story of The Minutemen"
Very well done with great interviews.
Highly recommended not only for Minutemen fans, but
any one who was a fan of the Cali punk/post punk scene
from 78-85.
One guy they interviewed had his LPs in background and
it seems obvious to me that he went out of his way to
pull Marquee Moon out so it faces the camera. Nice
moments.
I also learned something i did not know and it
actually choked me up a bit. Minutemen last toured
with R.E.M. (Stipe insisted over REM's label's
objection).
The last song Watt and Boon ever played together was
when REM called them out for an encore and they joined
in on a cover of..."See No Evil."
Boon was dead a short while later.
