Re: (TV) The Weird World of Richard Lloyd

I hope nothing I wrote suggests that I feel otherwise, Rex. I too know a couple of people with bipolar disorder, one of whom
manages it quite well with medication (though the meds have other
complications). The other is someone I mostly hear about indirectly,
and it sounds like things are more erratic with her. I'm in no way passing judgment on Richard, or insulting or mocking him. I talked about his bipolar disorder because it gives some perspective on his past and present behavior, from his earlier addiction (perhaps self-medicating) to his behavior on recent tours.

He's calling his upcoming tour "The Bipolar Tour", so there's that.

The condition has a wide range of severity, but it can be managed. Several
people close to me deal with it and get by very well indeed; it helps to
have a competent, highly involved and responsive doctor, and maybe even
moreso close friends or partners willing to help and be honest. I wish
Richard the very best.
