I recall, but not with absolute clarity, a story related by Peter Perrett of
The Only Ones about some, erm, shared chemical adventures with Richard
during one of Television's stints in the UK. I couldn't swear to the
specific substances involved, but they were strong and dangerous, and
certainly a lot of The Only Ones' career went up Perrett's arm.
Richard was definitely living fast in those days, but I suspect TV might've
found reasons to be unpleasant to him even if he hadn't been. Those boys
play well together, but they don't, erm, play well together.
