i think there are a lot of interviews where patti talks about this.
basically, "johnny" is a character from burroughs...she definitely references
taking that from him. and really it is very reminiscent -- hallucinatory sex
and violence, male on male, abstract...
patti was a big fan of burroughs. she is featured in the documentary on him
that was released, i believe, last year (can't recall the name of it at this
moment, but very interesting viewing).

So 'Horses' you think is some reference to a Burroughs vision/poetry? I
didn't know that. I'm not very familiar w/ his work...which work would that
be of his? Did Patti talk about this somewhere?
