I agree w/ this about Tom being a great lyricist.  And the way he sings too,
he spaces the words out, I don't know how to phrase this...so I hope you know
what I mean.  I believe his singing voice also just fits w/ the music.

I had the same thought.

The second piece gives some rare and deserved credit to Tom as lyricist.  I
think he's really world class myself and his style is a big part of why
Television remains so compelling. Imagine if "Marquee Moon" was exactly the
same musically, but the words were more like "Gonna find me a woman and rock
all night"...
