OK Dave.  You could very well be right on the Jimmy Rip nutty comments.

Many of us on the MM List are familiar with the interviews on The Wonder and
specifically the 1987 Musician magazine one you reference. (I actually sent
The Wonder [Keith's site] that interview and still have my paper copy and
its infamous "the press doesn't deserve anything but lies").

But are you ALSO claiming that all the crazy stuff about Tom saying Flash
Light was given a really horrible mix and his very puzzling reference to
Collectors Choice are both simply him being sarcastic?

PS: From the first time I read the interview, I thought it was very IRONIC
that TV goes on about all the misinformation and misquoting on the internet
about him, in an interview which, itself, is filled with wrong information!

To clarify some things:

For a clearer sense of what's going on in Tom's head and who's on Flash
Light just go over to The Wonder web site on look for his 1987 interviews -
like the Musician Magazine interview in which Tom states "the press doesn't
deserve anything but lies".

IT'S SARCASM PEOPLE!

(and yes, jimmy Ripp plays on flash light)
