I stood next to him while he soundchecked with Matthew Sweet at TT the Bears
in Cambridge, MA during the Girlfriend tour (he walked out on the audience
floor to hear the sound).
I'm 5'10.5" and he was about an inch or
so shorter than me, IIRC. Not that I thought about it at the time, as I was
awed at how he was wailing.

Hmm. I honestly don't remember Richard
as being much taller than me but could be wrong. I just don't think that his
hands are particularly small, just not very big.
