clearly readable on the headstock of Tom's
guitar but th
e body looking nothing like any 
Jazzmaster findable via google images, &

looking very strat-like instead. Was the 
"Jazzmaster" name a practica
l joke by Tom,
I wondered, based on the fact he used to 
be identified 
largely as a Jazzmaster player?
But that seemed an odd kind of joke.

first to play a custom made composite guitar.

with Thurston Moore & Lee Ranaldo, I think,

ere the interviewer asks Thurston what
his fave guitar is. He replies it'
s a Jazzmaster
& explains one of the things he likes about it

ong neck. I wonder if maybe tall guitar 
players with long arms, like Tom
 & Thurston,
might  find long necked guitars easier or more 
comforta
ble to play (-?)
