(TV) "I heard the voice that cries it's all in vain"/Failing twice on Record Store Day

Well I completely failed on my mission to get the TV/Bowie v vinyl special
edition single this morning on Record Store Day.

I was planning on snatching up 3 or 4 copies and using all but one of them
as prizes to the winners on both Mailing Lists of a new TV/Television Quiz.

I drove 20 miles to the largest Newbury Comics/Records in Norwood, MA which
opens at 10am. But I knew something was wrong when their parking lot was
full at 8:45am. The store had already opened.

After parking half-mile away, I entered the store to see that the TV/Bowie
single of "Kingdom Come" was sold out. So, I got in my car and drove to
another Newbury Comics/Records in a big mall (doesn't open until 10am) near
Milton.

When I arrived there was a line outside the store of about 350 people. They
were only letting 20 people at a time into the store. After standing in
line for 20 minutes I left.

Ever a Complete-ist, I didn't/don't want to pay $45 for copies that have
been on E-bay for last 3 weeks.

Oy Vey!

Anyone else find anything interesting on Record Store Day?

Well, I walked in the pouring rain

And I heard the voice that cries it's all in vain

The face of doom was shining in my room

I just need one day somewhere far away

Lord, I just need one day.

Well, I'll be breaking these rocks until the Kingdom comes

And I'll be cuttin' this hay until the Kingdom comes

Yes, I'll be breaking these rocks until the Kingdom comes

It's my price to pay until the Kingdom comes.

The river's so muddy, but it may come clear

And I know too well what's keeping me here

I'm just a slave of a burning ray

Give me the night, I can't take another sight

Please give me the night.

Well I'll be breaking these rocks until the Kingdom comes

And I'll be cuttin' this hay until the Kingdom comes

Yes, I'll be breaking these rocks until the Kingdom comes

It's my price to pay until the Kingdom comes.

The sun keeps beating down, the wall's a mile high

Up in the towers they're watching me, hoping I'm gonna die

But they'll open these cells when the Kingdom comes

I won't be breaking no rocks when the Kingdom comes

Yes, they'll open these cells when the Kingdom comes

I won't hear their talk when the Kingdom comes

I'm going up for a pardon when the Kingdom comes

Well pardon me, when the Kingdom comes

I won't be breaking no rock

I won't be breaking no rock

I won't be breaking no rock

            When the Kingdom comes.
