That's an odd phrasing.  It should probable have been either "unfocused 
but unforgettable" or "unfocused and forgettable" (blasphemy!) but I just 
don't get the author's intent here.

I agree with the unfocused, to an extent, as Richard was certainly not 
engaged as he'd been with MM, and IMO it kept the recording from being the
jewel MM is.  The songs are great, but there's a bit of a spark missing
because of Richard's diminished capabilities at the time.

Another error: "They broke up soon afterwards and did not play again until
1992. They would never release another long-player."  Except, of course, for
"Television".

The part I really like about this interview is the view on why punk
flourished in NYC in the '70s, and how being able to live cheaply is 
important to that creativity.
