Re: Some Interesting Details on The Never-released Album

We can all agree on the greatness of this

The drummer who was the youngest person to play Woodstock steals the show

No easy feat with Carlos high on mescaline

Yes, at least he did back in scout age.  He’s a couple years younger than oldest daughter, so very late 20’s.

Yep. By the way, does anyone know if Richard’s son looks exactly like Richard? I went to see The Raconteurs play Coney Island Baby, and there was a guy there who looks exactly like Richard when he was like 25.

Is it even possible to get in this discussion without taking side? If so, I would like to add that it’s really odd to call Television now as playing only their greatest hits. Of all the shows and bands that I see, they are the only band that never plays the same thing twice.

As someone who finds most acoustic shows super boring, I am never bored by Television playing live. They would resolve well known songs in slightly different ways - and each time I would look at the song differently. The same lyrics take on different meaning depending on Tom decides to say them. It has become pretty hard for me not to get choked up when they do “Torn Curtain” - no matter how many times I’ve seen them live in the past ten years.

Richard, on the other hand, seems thrilled to be working, getting music

I'd also say that in all the TV shows I've seen since 1992 and most of the ones I've heard, Richard was doing the work, Tom was mostly just the 'Presence'.
We were there at their very first show back together at ATP at Camber Sands in 2001 and Richard, Fred and Billy were there and right on it and Tom was... somewhere else.
