Honestly, if you are a "single, unwed, starving prostitute" (as opposed to
what?  Single, wedded prostitute?) and you still believe in an omniscient,
omnipotent, omnipresent, benevolent god, then you may as well believe in an
omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, benevolent god who would only put you
in heaven if you do not practice birth control -- I mean, hey, aren't you
already in hell?

Come on people, why do *you* care about how the Catholic Church wants to run
its own church -- ideologically, one would think that a radicalized religion
would have an easier time at attracting new believers than a "liberal"
church, actually.  

You (and here, I am not singling out Scott, I just happen to reply to his
email because the "single, unwed" thing made me chuckle) don't mean that you
only like to believe in religions that tell you what you want to hear, do
you?  I don't, and I don't really care about how various religious leaders
want to lead their believers (as long as they don't issue fatwas or the like
to kill people) -- nobody is forcing you to become or remain a Catholic --
but maybe I'm just funny that way.

Again, if I offend, I apologize.  But I just have a problem with single,
unwed starving prostitutes being told that the only way they can get into
