Re: (TV) What are we listening to?

I forgot about FIELD OF FIRE, which is also sitting on my stereo.

This is an amazing reissue -- I wish every artist who decided to
tinker with a reissue went this route as well.

FIELD OF FIRE was my first exposure to Television solo work, back in
1993 or so. I was horrified with what I heard -- not at all what I
expected -- and I think I only played it a few times before trading
it in. I was relieved to hear TOM VERLAINE and FLASHLIGHT a few
months later.

So I didn't have high hopes for this reissue, but bought it because,
having since come to love ALCHEMY, I thought I should give it another
chance. I'm glad I did. The odd thing is, I spend most of my time
listening to Disc 1 (the original album), not the reworked one. Maybe
that will change. For now, it's just like finding a buried treasure.
