You know, "you-know-who" isn't beyond criticism, he just appears to think that he is.Did he steal your lunch-money too? I'd understand all your bickering about the man if you had to deal with him on a daily basis but ffs, how many minutes have you actually spent talking to him? Maybe you should take your own advice and tell verlaine how you feel about him since it's fairly obvious that it's bugging you on a level beyond rationality.
All questions about what kind of human being Tom Verlaine is aside, if there's any place on the internet where Verlaine's claim to genius shouldn't be disputed, it's here.
While the other members made significant contributions, is there a real case to be made that Verlaine wasn't the main force behind Television? (If any of Richard Lloyd's solo albums are as good as Dreamtime or Flash Light, I'd love to hear them, but what I've heard isn't. Matter of opinion, though. Still, "not as good as Tom Verlaine" isn't exactly damning criticism. I'd rather listen to him than a Richard Hell recording that didn't involve Verlaine or Robert Quine.) --------------
