Re: (TV) FLASH LIGHT to be available... digitally?

Right on.

FWIW, Amazon has never used DRM, and their MP3s are a respectable 256kbps. I buy tracks from there from time to time. For example, they have all of Bowie's 80s singles digitized. Spending $0.99 for a remix of some semi-hit is a pretty fair deal.

They've also got things like the Dream Syndicate's MEDICINE SHOW for $10 (entire album), a much better deal than hunting down a used CD copy for $95.

Great Googly-Moogly.... This is what it's going to take to get me
to buy music digitally. I have not gone that route before because:
1) Selection was mediocre at best - I know the industry is more focused
on trying to get people to buy the new Britney drek, but I'm just not
   interested
2) I refuse to buy DRM-protected recordings, first because most of the
DRM schemes don't work under Linux (I've been Windows-free for years)
and I don't want to be beholden to the whims of the companies in
supporting the format (Google "microsoft stops plays-for-sure" for
   a perfect example).

This announcement is going to get me to SPEND MONEY ON MUSIC. See,
RIAA? That's all it took - good selection without your paranoid
schemes that assume I'm a criminal even before I've purchased your
product.
