Re: (TV) 2 cents on Rap/dissing Richard.



Perhaps I was a little closer to the scene.  Let me be blunt. I see no genius
in being a junkie. The scene was riddled with junkie poseurs. In other words
they were spending more time getting high than working on their art or craft.
To this day I can't help but " see through" what others may consider art or
genius. I believe there is some a world of difference between an artiste and an
artist. Hell, Thunders, etc. were merely acting out. Had they really worked at
their craft perhaps their art would have matured.
Hell to me symbolizes more nostalgia.
On the other hand I feel Verlaine is still growing.
