    In response to Philip's question, I owned both in '77, always searching
for those
alternate mixes/versions but none appeared on either the cassette or the
8-track. The
same goes for Adventure. If I'm not mistaken, the CD version was done
without the
band's knowledge. I don't think Tom ever wanted that ending. Lenny kaye
recalls telling
Tom when they gave him an advance tape of the rough mixes then the finished
product
that he preferred the non-fadeout. Obviously his opinion fell on deaf ears.
So he
was pleased when he heard the CD MM.

    Philip, being the Stooges fan/collector, are you aware that the 8 track
of "Raw
Power" contains alternate mixes? I remember reading this in Creem Magazine
back in
the 70's. I never did get my hands on one. You may want to investigate this
one.
