Re: (TV) Loaded

I totally agree with Eric-with the passing of time and the wonderful recent
Rhino Records re-issue of Loaded (the finest record label currently on the
planet, are they not?) I would now consider that disc and VU to be my
favourites. Why?Cos for me they contain the best tunes (fully showcasing
Lou's classic pop sensibility) AND still manage to retain a real edge-listen
to that amazing feeding back guitar on Train round the bend for
example.Maybe it's something to do with getting older but the thought of
listening to something like the Black Angel's Death Song again these days
fills me with extreme dread....

The one thing about Loaded that does bug me all the same is the absence of
Moe-some of the drumming, especially on the bonus tracks ,is so bad as to
beggar belief. In hindsight it seems incredible that Atlantic couldn't be
bothered to try and shift a few more copies at the time-I mean there's
plenty of potential singles on here-after all what is this record but the
Velvets own Rubber Soul?

A celebration of the true spirit of rockn'roll....love it to bits.
