Re: (TV) Ian Dury



I've been away for a couple of days so haven't been near my pc. The news
brought me to tears.
Glad to see the various tributes from TV listers. Ian Dury was a great bloke
and an inspiration.
Most of the tributes I've seen have mentioned Sex and Drugs........Rhythm
Stick, What A Waste, and Reasons To Be Cheerful. One of my fondest memories
was of Ian doing the Busman's Prayer(the Lord's prayer with the words
changed to include places on London bus routes. I often wondered whether
this gave Billy Bragg the idea for his A13 song.
Thanks for the memories Ian.
