how about Monk going absolutely apeshit when the recording engineer in the
studio is not taking the band once they start playing - "we don't do
rehearsals man- just hit the 'record" button that's all you gotta do!!! We
don't play the tune twice !!!"

or

when Monk sees for the first time the lurid-coloured striped trousers his
sax player(?) is wearing when they're on tour in Scandinavia- "you're one
BAD mutha" he announces in a tone of half-disbelief/half-respect!!!
