Brillant,brillant record but i can't help thinking that Neil Young has been
completely overrated and overpraised ever since and it's not like i didn't
give him another chance either over the years.When "Glory" came out ('89?)
for example I got suckered by all the hype and bought it hoping for the long
awaited "return to form" but i ended up selling it again not long after-if i
remember rightly the best song on it was "Farmer John" (the nuggets /
pebbles tune)....spoke volumes about the original material..

The fact that he looks more and more over the years like a depraved
pigfarmer from Buttfuck,Idaho doesn't help his cause much either in my
eyes.This millionaire charity shop/scarecrow chic gets on my tits bigtime
(cf one Michael Stipe too).Smarten yourself up man for heaven's sake.

PS Still love my copy of "Decades" all the same (and a few selected choice
CSN&Y nuggets too eg "Carry on")....also David Crosby...now there's an
undervalued songwriter.....anyone else out there think "If i could only
remember my name" is a masterpiece??? He wrote the best songs in the Byrds
too don't forget...."Draft morning","Triad","it happens each
day","ladyfriend".....

Waiting for the New Mod Revival (or a torrent of abuse from angry NY
fans...!)
