I think NY has made some fantastic records since On The Beach... Comes A
Time, Live Rust, Trans, Zuma... I really like the fact that he went
mental and cussed in the 80s and made a whole load of totally
uncommercial albums. Some of them are hopeless, but Trans and Old Ways
are both great. Freedom was a pretty good album too, even though it had
'Rocking In The Free World' on it, which is about my least favourite NY
song. And Harvest Moon is in many ways much better than the original
Harvest was.
Mind you, I even like Hawks & Doves, which is widely thought to be a bag
of shite, so perhaps I just have a blind spot. 
I kind of agree about the clothes though. He could use a haircut, too.
