(TV) re: earliest memories of rock

For me, music started with the Monkees, circa 67 or 68 or so.  Serious music
started when my cousin bought me Deep Purple - Machine Head and Yes -
Relayer for I suppose my 11th or 12th birthday.  Don't much care for either
band anymore but can still sing the entire DP record and consider Steve Howe
as good as ANY other guitar player that ever lived.   Maybe in another mail
I'll take you through the progression of records that ended in my devotion
to Alice Cooper (also now a thing of the past).
