Re: (TV) Most clever TV lyric?

I have another possible answer to the "bebo talk" thing. Chet Atkins used to do a "talking gee-tar' with something called a 'be-bo stick' (if memory serves) - kind of a primitive wah-wah pedal, I think. Maybe that word stuck with Tom, who knows?

favourite lyric:

whole first verse of "one time at sundown".

"they're chapters inna book..." ETC

OR

"I think I'll use a lighter blue/
There's a reason for that/
But I don't wanna talk about it"

in fact I think that in terms of lyrics and singing "flashlight" is my favourite TV album. Sadder yet chirpier and funnier than the rest...

PS. off-topic but maybe the guitar playing members may want to take a look. Bought a DeArmond M77T from Sam Ash in NYC this weekend. They're selling off the line because the manufactuer is closing down. So I basically picked up a well-made les paul guitar for $269, the pickups and bigsby tremelo make it a twangy style guitar, think "warm and cool" once you've got some thick strings on.

yeah i'm with Scott - just what the hell is "Bebo" talk ?

I don't know, but I've always guessed that it's related to "bebop,"
so that "bebo talk" would be what's otherwise called "jive talk" -
the slang of jazz hipsters.
