(TV) Re: TV sonny sharrock recommendations

i'd HIGHLY recommend "black woman", and not far behind that "monkey pockie boo" 
and "ask the ages". some people like his project w/ brotzmann, laswell, and 
jackson, last exit, but i think it's kind of cheesy. also, the pharoah sanders 
albums that he's featured on, "tauhid" and "izipho zam" are phenomenally good. 
there is a marzette watts album on esp-disk that's also swell. he played with 
herbie mann, but i'm not familiar with that material.
anyhow, the ones i just recommended are certainly great. however, i've gotta 
say black woman is my fave and is the place to start.
