i gotta jump in on this one
'clean' guitar tone is a tremendous misnomer
lacking a nice tube amp to distort the signal from my electric guitar for so
many poverty stricken years,
i can testify that the clean sound of an electric guitar is shite!
what you need is some nice warm and fuzzy tube induced distortion to make
the critter listenable
(if there is any doubt, run your electric guitar direct into a quality
cassette deck and listen to the results
yech)
