Gotta laugh about this one ... the main reason I grew a beard is BECAUSE of 
female coercion :-) My wife though a beard would look good on me, and I was 
curious to do it, so that gave me the reason to go for it.

Kept it ever since (although it's still just a Van Dyke and not the full 
beard she really wanted :-)

PS: ... in a pathetic attempt to go back to topic ... I can't picture Tom V 
looking good in a beard. Doesn't have right face shape. Pete Townshend looked 
better with one, but Tom? Naah.
