A bunch of new things...

A 5-star recommendation for the "The Word," an
instrumental gospel (w/a good deal of blues influence)
album by the combined forces of the North Mississippi
All-Stars, John Medeski (of Medeski, Martin and Wood)
and pedal steel wunderkind Robert Randolph, who comes
from the "Sacred Steel" school.  This is one helluva
joyous album that burns!

Al Kooper - "Rare and Well Done" -- a long overdue
comp of unreleased stuff and "hits" from this largely
unsung rock and roll hero.

Sonny Stitt Live at the Left Bank -- swinging post-bop
from a master, with organ and drums back up.  Sonny
plays electric sax on this one.

Van Morrison Live in Montreax 1990

And a bunch of other bootleg live stuff...recent
Dylan, old Grateful Dead, Patti Smith...
