hmm...i was/am a huge dB's fan...i don't think early XTC would be too
far off.
really poppy, quirky, and the first 2 records are just plain new wave,
but in
the guitar sense. Big Star fans shouldn't be disappointed either.

the first 2 records just got reissued again, on one cd again as well, so
start
there.

also, in 1990 Holsapple and Stamey did an acoustic record called
Mavericks which
to me is one of the more underrated records of all time. sublime,
perfect pop.
