anyone here into the the?  i bought their record
_infected_ on the basis of anna domino's involvement
over the weekend; the description "tom waits fronting
the church" was bested by the counter guy, who called
them "tom waits fronting television" (!!).  while that
hybrid is strangely compelling, this is not the fruit
of that hypothetical bond; it rather sounds like the
manic street preachers if they were heavily influenced
by ernest hemingway's more virile writing.  i'm
curious as to what other tv fans think of them.  

(side note: maurice, i owe you an email.  this has
been a weird week and a half.)
