Love them, in a gritty, raw kind of way. Try "Soul Mining", came out
years before the Manics appeared and comprises equal parts beauty,
fercocity and soulfulness, and some great piano from Jools Holland.IMHO.
Also, "Mindbomb" and Matt Johnson's much earlier (pre The The) "Burning
Blue Soul".
