Re: (TV) Burning Cds Endangered / Costello

i stopped respecting elvis the c after i read an
announcement that he was scoring a movie musical to be
helmed by the loathesome neil labute.  (this was in an
interview with labute, so i am taking it at face
value.)  this is another nail in the coffin -- and
coming from someone who was NAMED for one of el's
songs, this is kind of a sad day.  

side note, vis-a-vis cd burning: i, personally, will
not burn cds that are still commercially available,
since many of the artists whose work i enjoy sell so
few records, and they, too, deserve to eat and to make
money off their artistic careers.  )of course, if
anyone wants a cdr of that first merry go round album,
they can email me.  :))  unfortunately it seems like
the record industry is not looking hard enough at the
actions they have taken to put this kind of dilemma
into place, with the lack of support for "career
artists" and wish to make a quick buck on disposable
pop and the highway robbery that is cd prices.  grrr. 

you knew this already, but i must make my disgust
known.
