Oh, mais non! Polvo were a rock band of the 90s, playing fragmented, weirdly structured blasts of epic guitar noise. Sometimes they fell flat; sometimes the lyrics were weak, and other times--man--guitar ecstasy, I tell you. Even their weakest disc, _Shapes_ (their last) has some fine, fine playing on it, particularly the 11-minute "El Rocio." Well worth a listen.

I mean Pavement was fine and all, but Polvo's just really been doing it for me lately. Check out the link to the .mp3 in my previous post.
