Actually, this has always struck me as the most ridiculous paranoid
nonsense. What was Tom doing that was worth stealing when Ferry and co.
released the fabulously wonderful/innovative/creative/stunning/never-
bettered "Roxy Music" album in 1972. I don't think that the man who
wrote that album and "For Your Pleasure" needed to steal, e.g., "Chirp
Chirp" from a totally unknown writer in NYC. I mean,... really. By the
time anyone had really heard of Television, Ferry and Roxy had already
redefined popular music (in terms of bringing in the intellect and a
sense of irony and style) in a way that, sadly, Tom never would/will.

I yield to no-one in my admiration for Tom V. but let's keep a sense of
proportion here (even if Tom doesn't always seem to be able to)
