(TV) Mozart is to Saleri in context/ McCartney & Bacharach Supreme Pop Tunesmen / Paganini

My point was that as did Mozart in his lifetime,
Verlaine languishes in obscurity while others
who are his inferior as musicians/artists
get the accolades. Sure, McCartney and Bacharach
may be better at writing melodies that the masses
eat-up.

Hey, Verlaine's music and guitar playing need no
bolstering from me; his music and playing speak for
themselves.

Look, do I think Verlaine is a greater artist/musical
genius/musician than McCartney or Bacharach? You bet.
Yes, I'll grant you, they have considerable more talent
than TV for writing hit melodies/songs (so did Henry
Mancini).

To me Verlaine's a musical prodigy; he's the Niccolr
Paganini of the electric guitar, and thus, IMHO
that makes him ultimately superior to those other
two guys. Hence, in that context, my analogy.
