(TV) follow-up to leo (OT)

since leo bridged us far afield, i thought i'd add an
ot post.  tho' mine's probably not as interesting.

two bands i was aware of but didn't follow closely in
the late '70's -- mink deville, and the runaways.  i
remember them both being associated with cb's and the
punk scene (probably more so mink deville).

more recently i've picked up some of their
recordings...and was amazed at how 1) terrible and 2)
NOT PUNK these bands were.  i mean, deville was not
nearly as bad as the runaways...and i know the
runaways were more of a paint-by-numbers "concept"
(sales gimmick) group.  they probably don't belong in
the same category.  but they are in my mind:  the
category of cb's bands that leave me scratching my
head.  and they both seemed to play standard,
forgettable rnr.

anyone out there who was there have recollections
about these folks?  any thoughts?

also, looking for the book "1001 nudes of lita ford",
if anyone can help.
