I'm with you on this Leo, although I did like the feel of the other new
thing that I don't know the name of that's at the end of the Postcard
from London show - rather lovely.

Yep, and I suspect that they haven't been played/worked on since the
last time they were played live.

But we don't pay to watch somebody rehearse, do we?

Actually, I'm not sure that he's a musical perfectionist, more an
awkward bugger who doesn't rehearse enough with the rest of the band.
I'm constantly torn between my vast admiration for the man and my
feeling that, if it was anyone else, I'd be really pissed off at having
to listen to him noodling away half-heartedly at some shapeless sketch
that he started in 2002. I have the feeling that, left to get on with
it, the other three could turn it into a song in about 20 minutes. I
know, it wouldn't be the same, but still...

Just reacting to some of the points you raised - as ever I'm grateful
for your dedication to this Television/Verlaine thing and the ideas you
give us.
