spend any length of time with a person with untreated,
acute schizophrenia, psychosis or bipolar disorder, or
major depressive disorder, and you realize they have
no control at all over their mind, destiny, or life. 
they are altogether disabled.  not unlike someone who
doesn't have use of their arms or legs or eyes.
