Re: (TV) OT: Never Over / Top 40

As a long-suffering Sox fan who -- like Leo and everyone else in this
town -- has all sorts of weird anti-voodoo rituals, I avoided the game until
the last two innings. Went and saw Sam Phillips at the Paradise instead.
Poor woman had her delicate I-hate-T-Bone-Burnett torch songs squelched by
screaming fans in the bar next door, but you know what? She was
philosophical about it (a Dodgers fan, natch), and after 86 years of
ridiculously bad mojo on the part of the Sox so was everyone else there.

World's only existential ball team and they finally got the fucking boulder
to the top of the mountain.

Okay, OT exultation over, back to your regularly scheduled newsgroup.
