(Maybe Tom's even a Conservative---doubt it----best guess is he's never voted in his life, except onetime in a City election to keep his condo from being bulldozed.)
In a Swedish newspaper interview - I strongly believe it was made in the autumn 1984, when he toured in Europe and the American election was ahead - he said that he might vote against Reagan, but the he wasn't a registered voter.
That question might have been asked in other countries as well, since Ronald Reagan wasn't a very popular president amongst left-leaning Europeans, but it was appropriate that it was asked here since many visiting singers sighed about the politic-obsessed Swedes.
His close connection with Patti Smith could also made one think that he might be somewhat to the left. Right?
