RE: (TV) Mamma Mia

Nothing is as horrible as the RedSux winning the World Series. That's like
saying "We Built This City" is horrible. Yes, it's a horrible video, song
etc. But how can anything be compared with the sheer horror of what
happened 26 hours ago? There are no words to express it. Okay, Bush
stealing another election.

No, it's horrible. Like all musicals, it's horrible. It's too horrible to
even think about it. I saw it with a friend of mine who did need cheering
up, and I would never tell her that it was horrible, but I can tell you
guys, it's horrible. Not as horrible as the Red Sox winning the World
Series, but close.

Noone should try to minimalize the commercial impact of the "Mamma Mia"
musical. It has been a hit in many, many big cities - including American
ones. I remember that when it opened in NYC shortly after the 9/11, it was
hailed by one major Manhattan critic with words like "at this time, this is
exactly what we need to be cheered up". Haven't seen it myself, but it is
reputead to be thin story-wise but funny in a corny way.
