RE: (TV) coming out of the closet

Well, I'm pretty much over U2, but I saw them on SNL this weekend and they
won me over, with Bono repeating the word "Live!" over the intro to Vertigo.
The second song - don't know the name but it was a mid- tempo tune -
featured the Edge playing a Rick 330-12 (yes, I'm THAT anal) and NOT
sounding like Roger McGuinn, which isn't easy.  At the show's end, when
they're playing that silly piano lick and the guest host is doing the
thanks, his "I'd like to thank U2" was cut short by the guitar intro to "I
Will Follow." Bono raced over to the rest of the band and they did the
entire song under the credits, with a lot of off mic shouting to persons
unseen.  I haven't seen anything like that since Elvis Costello's
appearance.  Take that, Ashlee.
