i dont think my wife approve a new guitar ,anyway ,and i was thinking that the size of the headstock is too small for what i was intending to do ... the lipstick pickups in the danos are great ,non hyped ,kind of pure sounding ,no wonder tom likes them...

I've got a Danny 12 string that I like a lot - a good deal, too.
It's probably not going to be much less than the price of a new 12
to convert a 6 to a 12.
