Crummy / RE: (TV) Ouch
That would have been the show on Sept. 30, 2003 Henry Fonda
Theater, Los Angeles.
I was there and it was the worst version of MM I have ever
heard; actually I wasn't. Any MM Listers in Calif. attend
and remember how bad or great MM sounded?
Not to make excuses--but in all the times I've seen Television,
or Verlaine in his 'other' [1981-87] band, I never heard a half-hearted
or disappointing performance of the song. Moreover, I don't recall any
of the Carried Away shows having a bad version either.
Oops! In April 1990, at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston Tom did
a really crummy solo acoustic version (it lasted 20 minutes).

Ah Jesus Christ on a stick onna stick dipped in chocolate rolled in nuts !
These critics are sure long on hyperbole and short on substance. That's
gotta be why they're critics in the first place. Never heard of this guy
anyway...
