It's true. On one of the early Television rehearsal tapes, you can
distinctly hear Verlaine say, "Richie, you're doin' a heckuva job."

(Four days later, Hell was replaced by Vice Admiral Fred Smith).


If you turn up the tape, can you hear him muttering, "a little TOO good?"
