Absolutely. I've used nothing else (except occasionally Opera) for over 
2 years and haven't seen an unwanted ad or popup window in all that 
time.

And Flashblock means I can avoid all those pages with time-consuming 
Flash crap. There's the occasional page that "only works with IE" but I 
can live without anything which insists that I use that.
