RE: (TV) New Verlaine CDs competition!



Can't help but lend my amateur voice to the pile-on . . . 

I recommend Rogue Brewery's "Old Crustacean".  It's a barleywine (= wine
like levels of alcohol, this one is somewhere around 11.5%). Made from
barley but aged like a wine. Mighty tasty. Good and bitter, very complex.

It's not from Portland, but rather from Newport, which is SW of Portland, I
think.

I'm no beer expert , I just know that I like a good dark beer, a nice stout
or dark ale. Portland supposedly is one of the capitals of micro-brewdom
