Re: (TV) Rainy Day

I don't think I own any Individuals records but I do have a Rage to Live LP somewhere around here. I also auditioned for Jon Klages's band after I played with Richard Lloyd but didn't get the gig. I still have the tape of my old band playing with Glenn Morrow, I remember him telling me he lived in Hoboken and you you can hear me on the tape saying "Hoboken??? Holy shit!!!" Up to that point I'd never heard of anyone living in Hoboken. Little did I know what Hoboken would become.

But finding the Individuals was the hardest for me. I didn't get a copy of their Fields album (a tape copy) until 2000 or so, after searching for it for all those years. Really cool that you've met and played with Glenn Morrow, Dennis.

As far as the Mommyheads go, yes I believe they were located in SF at the end of their run. I just saw their 1997 s/t Geffen album on half.com for $0.47 or something- think I'll have to splurge.

Just finishing up with Rainy Day. The old tape is still holding up nicely. I got turned onto that one right after it first came out. I was living in East Bridgewater, MA at the time near Bridgewater State College and it was raved on their 50-watt station at the time. Still grateful to whoever raved it.

Cheers,

Brian

Glenn Morrow from the Individuals auditioned my band in 1978. I don't think
he liked the drummer. We did some of his songs and covered Kangaroo by Big
Star and we did some Television stuff, and Glenn was afraid to do the
Television stuff, thought he wasn't good enough as a guitarist.
I used to see posters for the Mommyheads and always liked the name but never
saw them. Did they relocate to SF?
