I rather like most of their records.  I don't usually like a whole lot of
"spectacle" or theatricality with my "rock and roll show", but the Lips get
a pass because theirs is about nothing but spectacle, and kind of knowingly
stupid spectacle at that... not a lot of pretension to it, which is
refreshing.
