On the occasion of the exhibition "Patti Smith, Land
250" in Paris, the Fondation Cartier pour l'art
contemporain has invited Patti Smith to organise the
program of Les Soiries Nomades (Nomadic Nights). 
During these artistic evenings, she will perform solo,
or accompanied by her group, and she has invited
various musicians and poets to perform on stage.

The first of the Nomadic Nights will be on 28 March
2008.

Les Soiries Nomades prisentent : Soirie Virginia Woolf
dans le cadre des expositions Patti Smith et Andrea
Branzi. Le 28 mars 1941 disparaissait Virginia Woolf,
icrivain emblimatique dont l'uvre a bouleversi, par
sa puissance poitique, la littirature anglaise du
XXe sihcle. Pour cilibrer cette date anniversaire,
Patti Smith consacre une soirie ` la lecture de ses
textes, accompagnie au piano par sa fille Jesse.

The second Nomadic Nights will be on 6 April 2008.

Pour cette deuxihme Soirie Nomade, Patti Smith invite
Lenny Kaye et Tony Shanahan, membres du Patti Smith
Group, ` se joindre ` elle pour un concert acoustique.

The performers at the other Nomadic Nights will
include: Ghidalia Tazarths; Jeffrey Lewis & the
Jitters; Tom Verlaine / Jimmy Rip; Pauline Oliveros /
Jean-Marc Montera / Pascal Contet; Fred Frith; 
John Giorno/Javier Colis; Ted Milton/Sam Britton;
Claudia Triozzi. 

Tickets are not yet on sale for any of these events.
